David Dunne Killed in Fairfax Scooter Accident on Creek Road near Dominga Avenue in Fairfax


Fairfax, California (February 12, 2020) – An electric scooter rider died after being hit by a car in Fairfax, Marin County, last week Friday.

The Marin County coroner’s office identified the victim as 74-year-old David Dunne of Fairfax.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Dunne was riding his scooter on Creek Road near Dominga Avenue at 8:30 a.m. February 7, when he was hit by a car.

Dunne was seriously injured and was taken to Marin Health Medical Center in Greenbrae, where he died while undergoing treatment.

The identity of the motorist was withheld, pending the conclusion of an investigation into the fatal crash.

Fairfax police and CHP are investigating the accident.
