At Least 175 People on Diamond Princess Test Positive for Corona Virus

WHO is Currently Holding a Conference in Geneva on Combating the Virus


The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that at least 175 people on board a cruise ship that was quarantined off Yokohama have been diagnosed with the deadly Corona Virus.

The agency, which is currently holding a conference in Geneva on combating the virus, said the death toll in China has continued to climb.

The authorities said 3,700 passengers and crew were onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Among those who tested positive for the virus was a quarantine officer.

The ship was quarantined off Yokohama in Japan.

At least 25 countries have confirmed cases of the virus.
