2 Hospitalized after Car Accident at North Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street in North Hollywood

North Hollywood, California (February 12, 2019) – Three people were injured after a police chase ended in a car crash on Tuesday afternoon in North Hollywood.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division, the accident was reported at around 12:40 p.m. February 11, at the intersection of North Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street.

Three people were riding in a stolen car and were being pursued by the police.

The suspect failed to stop and slammed into a truck.

The Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and extricated two of the three people in the stolen who were pinned inside the stolen vehicle, following the crash. The two were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A third person in the accident was also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The identities of the patients were not immediately disclosed.

The authorities closed the Erwin Street and Tujunga Avenue intersection as they investigated the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
