2 Injured, Dog Killed after Being Hit by Car at Independence and Constitution in Salinas

A Pedestrian Was Also Hit by Car at East Boronda and McKinnon Street


Salinas, California (February 12, 2020) – Three people were injured in two pedestrian accidents at intersections in Salinas on Tuesday morning.

Salinas police said two people and a dog were hit by a car at the intersection of Independence and Constitution Boulevard for unknown reasons.

The two were injured in the accident and were taken to Natividad for treatment in unknown conditions.

Sadly, the dog was killed in the accident.

An hour earlier, a pedestrian had been hit by a car at East Boronda and McKinnon Street. The condition of the pedestrian was not immediately disclosed.

Although an investigation into the accident is ongoing, the police believe morning sun glare was a contributing factor.

No additional information was provided.
