City, California (February 11, 2020) – A pedestrian was
seriously injured after being hit by a suspected distracted driver in National
City, San Diego, on Monday afternoon, December 10.
The motorist was driving a 2019 Toyota pickup truck when he struck a 49-year-old woman at about 12:20 p.m. in the area of 21st Street and Highland Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian
had been walking in a marked crosswalk when the accident happened.
The unidentified woman was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to a trauma center for treatment.
The motorist, identified only as a 29-year-old man, was
