Sacramento, California (February 11, 2020) – A pedestrian died Monday evening after being hit by a car in Sacramento.

The accident happened at about 6:10 p.m. February 10, on Rio Linda Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue.

Sacramento Police Department said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area for unknown reasons.

The unidentified man was taken to an area hospital where he later died while undergoing treatment.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No additional information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
