Concord, California (February 11, 2020) – An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Concord, Contra Costa, on Monday night.

The accident happened on the Port Chicago Highway on-ramp to eastbound Highway 4 at about 9:15 p.m. February 10.

The pedestrian, a Concord man, was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment.

The motorist fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. However, the authorities have since located a person and vehicle of interest in the case.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
