Johnny Menchaca Killed in Ventura Pedestrian Crash at Beachmont Street and East Harbor Boulevard


Ventura, California (February 11, 2020) – The authorities have identified a pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle in Ventura on Sunday night as 37-year-old Johnny Menchaca.  

Menchaca was struck by a car in the northbound lanes of Beachmont Street near East Harbor Boulevard at about 7:22 p.m. February 9.

The events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.

Menchaca was killed in the accident.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The police ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the accident.
