1 Killed, 2 Injured in Inglewood Car Accident on Florence Avenue at Centinela Avenue


Inglewood, California (February 10, 2020) – One person was killed and two other people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Monday evening in Inglewood.

The accident happened along the 500 block of East Florence Avenue at Centinela Avenue at about 4:40 p.m.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, five vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Video footage showed a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed slamming into a pickup truck that was making a left turn at the intersection.

The California Highway Patrol said one of the drivers was killed in the accident.

Two other people were seriously injured in the accident.

Florence Avenue was closed between Grace and Prairie Avenue as Inglewood Police Department investigated.

No additional information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
