Man Killed, Woman Injured in Oakland Car Accident at Hegenberger and Hamilton Streets

1 Killed and 1 Injured in Car Crash Collision at Hegenberger and Hamilton Streets in Oakland


Oakland, California (February 10, 2020) – A 24-year-old man was killed and a woman was injured in a two-car crash on Friday night in Oakland.

The deadly accident was reported at about 9:30 p.m. February 7, at the intersection of Hegenberger and Hamilton streets.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a maroon Honda was traveling northbound on Hegenberger when it slammed into an Infiniti that was traveling eastbound on Hamilton.

A 24-year-old Oakland man who was driving the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old Oakland woman who was driving the Infiniti was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The name of the deceased was not disclosed pending notification of the next of the kin.

Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as factors in the accident.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
