At least eight people were killed in an attack in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) on Friday.
The police said suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) fighters attacked a village in the Beni region, slitting throats of the eight people.
About twenty other people are reported missing. Major Losendjola Morisho, a police chief in Mangina, said a search to rescue the missing people is ongoing.
The country has experienced several months of attacks and massacres blamed on the rebel forces.
More than a thousand people have been killed in the attacks since October 2014.
