Ronald Estes Arrested after Hitting and Killing Motorcyclist on Oceanside Boulevard in San Diego


Oceanside, California (February 9, 2020) – An Oceanside man died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon in Oceanside.

The fatal motorcycle accident was reported at about 1:34 p.m. on Oceanside Boulevard near El Camino Real, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A man was reportedly riding a motorcycle eastbound on Oceanside Boulevard when he collided with a truck pulling a 15-foot trailer driven by 64-year-old Ronald Estes.

The unidentified motorcyclist was killed in the accident.

According to Oceanside Police Department, Estes was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter after the police determined that he made an illegal left-turn.

The collision shut down Oceanside Boulevard between El Camino Real to Rancho Del Oro.
