(February 9, 2020) – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle
collision that occurred in Pittsburg in unincorporated Contra Costa County
early Sunday morning.
The deadly-collision happened on Highway 4 near Bailey Road
at about 2:09 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The exact number of vehicles involved in the collision and the
events leading to the collision were not immediately established.
The authorities said one person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
All eastbound lanes of Highway 4 were closed as the authorities investigated the accident.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
