Pacific Beach, California (February 7, 2020) – An elderly pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car driven by a teen driver on Thursday night in Pacific Beach, San Diego.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 7 p.m. February 6, on Grand Avenue near Balboa Avenue.

A 65-year-old pedestrian was walking on Grand Avenue when he was hit by a 1998 Honda Accord driven by a 17-year-old boy.

The unidentified pedestrian sustained major injuries including a pelvic fracture, a right femur fracture and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The unidentified teenage driver was unhurt.

No additional information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
