Sacramento, California (February 7, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a Pleasant Grove High School student who died days after a car accident that occurred in Sacramento on January 22.

The accident happened on Eagles Nest Road near Kiefer Boulevard at about 7:30 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Protection District investigators said two vehicles collided head-on on the roadway for unknown reasons.

16-year-old Gina Shen Brinsmead, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered major injuries and was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment.

Sadly, she died on February 1.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
