Cotati, California (February 7, 2020) –
The authorities have disclosed the identity of a bicyclist who was hit and
injured by a car in Cotati on Wednesday night.
According to a report by the California Highway
Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 116 near Stony Point Road at about 8
p.m. February 5.
24-year-old Channing Christy of Ukiah was riding
a bicycle in the area and was hit by a Safeway truck driven by 55-year-old
Christy sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The authorities determined that the rider was
transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
