Anthony Williams Charged with Murder and Attempted Murder after California Bus Shooting


A Maryland man who was arrested after a shooting on a Greyhound bus in California has been charged.

33-year-old Anthony Devonte Williams was on Wednesday charged with one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder.

Williams allegedly shot six passengers on the bus traveling on Interstate 5 near Lebec, killing Lurbis Elena Vence, 51, of Columbia, and injuring five others. Those wounded were men and women ranging from 19 to 50 years old.

Passengers managed to disarm Williams and forced him out of the bus when it pulled to the shoulder of the freeway. He was arrested shortly after.
