Man Killed in Pomona Pedestrian Accident near West First Street


Pomona, California (February 6, 2020) –  A man died after being hit by a Union Pacific Railroad train in Pomona, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the 100 block of West First Street near the Metrolink Pomona-Downtown Station shortly before noon.

The man was walking in the area and was hit by a train.

The unidentified man was killed in the accident.

Metrolink’s Riverside Line between East Ontario and Industry was temporarily closed.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
