Alyssa Alexus Contreras Killed in Car Accident on 605 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue in Norwalk, Los Angeles


Norwalk, California (February 6, 2020) – Alyssa Alexus Contreras, 24, of La Puente was killed in a car accident that left two people injured in Norwalk, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 3:45 a.m. February 5, on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue.

Contreras was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on the freeway when she crashed into the center divider for unknown reasons.

The Corolla was then hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Honda Accord.

The impact of the collision caused the Corolla to overturn and was hit by a passing Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Milton Max Marquardt, 46, of Ontario.

Los Angeles County Fire Department said Contreras was killed in the accident.

42-year-old Jose O. Estrada of Pico Rivera who was driving the Honda was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup truck, 28-year-old Jonathan J. Villalpando of Fontana, sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Mr. Marquardt was unhurt.

No further information was provided.
