Suspect in London Stabbing Had been Jailed for “Islamist-Related Terrorism Offenses”

Three People were Wounded in the Attack

A man was gunned down in a London street after stabbing three people on Sunday.

The suspect, who was later identified by the authorities as 20-year-old Sudesh Amman, had recently been released from jail for terror-related offenses.

The man is reported to have stabbed and wounded three people in Streatham, a residential suburb in south London before being shot dead near London Bridge. The three were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

London’s Metropolitan Police service said Amman was arrested in 2018 for the possession and distribution of terrorist material but was released halfway through serving his three-year sentence.
