9 Suspected “Illegal Miners” Stoned to Death in South Africa

The police in South Africa are investigating an incident where nine suspected illegal miners were stoned to death on Friday.

The workers, believed to be from Lesotho, were stoned to death by suspected rival workers in Matholeville.

The bodies of the victims were found lying in the streets of Matholeville. The police said a tenth person was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The authorities promised an investigation to apprehend the suspects. 87 people were arrested in a crackdown on Friday night and were taken for questioning.
