Juan De La Rosa Hit and Killed by Car at Sycamore Canyon and Eastridge in Riverside


Riverside, California (January 29, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Riverside on Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Sycamore Canyon Boulevard and Eastridge Avenue at about 5:47 a.m. January 28.

Juan De La Rosa, 32, was walking in the area and was hit by a southbound 2016 Honda Accord being driven by a 36-year-old Hesperia resident.

Juan De La Rosa, a resident of Moreno Valley, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Riverside University Health System Medical Center.

Sadly, he died while undergoing treatment.

No other information was provided.

The Riverside Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
