Bakersfield, California (January 29, 2020) – Two people sustained minor injuries after being struck by a
suspected DUI driver on Tuesday morning in Bakersfield.
The accident happened at about 6:40 p.m. at
River Boulevard and Knotts Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an
SUV driver was making a turn at Knotts Street when he struck two people who
were crossing the street on a marked crosswalk.
The two pedestrians reportedly sustained minor
injuries in the accident.
The motorist was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The names of the victims were not immediately
The accident is under investigation.
