Man Killed in Car Crash at Edison Road and Hermosa Road in Bakersfield


Bakersfield, California (January 28, 2020) – A man was killed in a two-car accident that happened at an intersection in Bakersfield on Monday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of South Edison Road and Hermosa Road at about 3:30 p.m. January 27.

A Ford F-150 pickup was traveling westbound on Hermosa Road when the driver reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into a Toyota Corolla driven by a woman.

The impact of the collision ejected the pickup truck driver from the vehicle.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office did not disclose the identity of the man pending notification of next of kin.

The woman was taken to Kern Medical for treatment in unknown condition.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
