Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Car on North Azusa Avenue near Sixth Street in Azusa


Azusa, California (January 28, 2020) – A vehicle hit and killed a bicyclist in Azusa on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

 The accident was reported at about 1:30 p.m. January 27, in the 600 block of North Azusa Avenue near Sixth Street.

A man was reportedly riding a bicycle on North Azusa Avenue when he was hit by a car.

Paramedics responded to the incident and transported the bicyclist to a local hospital for treatment.

The bicyclist, who was later identified as a 65-year-old West Covina man, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

No other information was provided.

 An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
