Cathedral City, California (January 28, 2020) – A man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Cathedral City on Monday morning has been identified.

The Riverside County Coroner’s office said the victim was 44-year-old Guadalupe Arrez.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened on Ramon Road between Sky Blue Water Trail and Avenida El Mundo at about 7:41 pm. January 27.

Arrez was crossing Ramon and was hit by a car.

The Cathedral City man was killed in the accident.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
