Fatal Cathedral City Pedestrian Accident on Ramon Road near Sky Blue Water Trail

Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Ramon Road in Cathedral City


Cathedral City, California (January 28, 2020) – A man in his 40s was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred on Monday night in Cathedral City, Riverside County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 8:00 p.m. along Ramon Road between Sky Blue Water Trail and Avenida El Mundo.

The pedestrian was crossing Ramon Road when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The police closed all westbound lanes on Ramon Road, between Whispering Palms Trail and Avenida El Pueblo.

No further information about the accident was provided.     

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
