Menifee, California (January 27, 2020) – A second person has died following a deadly car crash that happened on Friday night, January 24.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Winchester Road near Scott Road.
A car was traveling eastbound on Railroad Canyon Road when it rear-ended a second car.
The impact of the collision sent one of the cars across the center divider where it collided with a westbound car.
The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to flip.
Two sisters identified only as Benita Hayden and Tina Slatten were killed in the accident. Their mother, Sharon Waldman, was seriously injured and remains in critical condition.
The trio was reportedly were returning home from their “weekly bingo run” when the accident happened.
No other information was provided.
The Perris Sheriff Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the cause of the accident.
