7 Injured, Alfredo Rodriguez Arrested after Palmdale Car Crash at Avenue S and 25th Street East


Littlerock, California (January 26, 2020) – 65-year-old Jeri Kennedy has been identified as the woman who was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that ended in a multi-vehicle in Palmdale on Thursday night, January 23.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Jeri Kennedy was walking a dog in the 7600 block of Pearblossom Highway in Littlerock at approximately 8:00 p.m. when she was hit by a car driven by 62-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez.

Kennedy was killed in the accident.

Rodriguez did not stop but continued driving before colliding with multiple vehicles at the intersection of Avenue S and 25th Street East in Palmdale.

Seven people including Alfredo Rodriguez were injured in the second collision. Two of the victims were hospitalized with serious injuries while four were treated for minor injuries. One was evaluated at the scene and released.

Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No other information was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
