Jimmy Cawthon, Jennifer Lenwell and Charles Nance Injured in 2-Car Accident Walnut Street and Fortier Road

Red Bluff, California (January 25, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identities of three people who were injured in a car accident that occurred in Red Bluff on Thursday evening.

The accident happened near the intersection of Walnut Street and Fortier Road at about 5:50 p.m. January 23.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 49-year-old Jimmy Ray Cawthon, Jr. was driving a car eastbound on Walnut Street when he veered into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a car driven by 37-year-old Charles Nance.

Nance and his passenger, 36-year-old Jennifer L. Lenwell, were injured in the accident and were taken to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for treatment.

Cawthon sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
