Winchester, California (January 25, 2020) – Two drivers were killed in a head-on collision early Friday morning in Victorville, Riverside County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident
happened on Winchester Road, just north of Scott Road at about 1:05 a.m.
A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on Winchester Road, also known as Highway 79, when it drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a Honda CRV.
Riverside County Fire Department personnel who responded to accident
pronounced two people dead at the scene.
The identities of the two motorists were not immediately
Northbound lanes of Winchester Road at Scott Road were
closed to facilitate examination of the scene.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
