Long Beach, California (January 22, 2020) – 21-year-old David
Kim Jr. died after being struck by a car on Tuesday night in Long Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the Artesia (91) Freeway near Cherry Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. January 21.
Mr. Kim Jr. was reportedly driving his a 1998 Honda CR-V when he collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons.
The authorities said David
Kim Jr. had exited his vehicle after the collision and was returning to
his vehicle to move it to the right shoulder when it was hit by two vehicles.
The impact of the
collision caused his car to hit him.
Mr. Kim Jr.
was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another driver was injured in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
