Long Beach, California (January 23, 2020) – The authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision that left at least one person injured in Long Beach on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 9:02 a.m. on Interstate 405 Freeway near Lakewood Boulevard.
A gray Toyota pickup truck is reported to have entered the freeway and cut off a black 4-door BMW 525 sedan causing a collision.
The impact of the collision sent the pickup truck crashing into the center divider.
The pickup truck overturned, blocking both the northbound and southbound HOV lanes.
The authorities who responded to the incident had to extricate one person who was trapped in the overturned car.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment in unknown condition.
