Oildale, California (January 22, 2020) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Monday afternoon in Oildale.
The accident happened at about 12:00 p.m. January 20, on Chester Avenue, just south of Roberts Lane.
As per a California Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Nissan driven by 29-year-old Ruben A. Arvizu Singh was traveling northbound when he reportedly made an unsafe lane change and collided with a northbound Mazda driven by 35-year-old Mark Richard Schrader.
The Nissan then spun and collided with a 2003 Honda driven by Clinton Henry, 82, which was stopped in the turn lane on North Chester Ave.
The impact of the collision sent the Nissan across the center divider where it collided with a southbound Chevy Silverado driven by Jody Lane Jackson, 59.
The engine of the Nissan came off the vehicle and was thrown into a McDonald’s parking lot where it struck another vehicle.
Singh, Jackson, and Schrader were injured in the crash and rushed to Kern Medical Hospital for treatment.
Jackson and Schrader are reported to have sustained minor injuries while Singh was listed in critical condition.
No other information was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
