Victor Magana Injured in Car Accident at Garvey Avenue and Lexington Avenue in El Monte, Los Angeles


El Monte, California (January 21, 2020) – A 12-year-old boy was injured in a car accident in El Monte, Los Angeles, on Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Garvey Avenue and Lexington Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. January 18.

As per the report, a Toyota Sienna and a Chevy Suburban collided on the roadway for unknown reasons.

The impact of the collision sent one of the cars off the roadway where it crashed into a curb.

El Monte Police Department said the collision ejected the boy, who was later identified as Victor Magana, from the family car.

Victor Magana sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment in critical condition.

A second person was hospitalized in unknown condition.

The Chevy driver fled the scene and was yet to be located.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
