Nine people were killed in a suicide bombing in western Chad, the authorities said on Monday.
A female suicide bomber reportedly detonated explosives on Sunday in the village of Kaiga-Kindjiria.
The authorities described the unidentified victims as seven men and two women.
Although no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the region has previously been under similar attacks by the Boko Haram armed group.
Chad is among many West African countries fighting armed groups.
In August 2018, a suicide bomber killed six people, including a soldier in the same village with a population of 7000 people.
