(January 19, 2020) – A suspected DUI driver has been arrested after fatally
hitting a pedestrian in Antelope, Sacramento, on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:35 a.m. on Walerga Road near Elverta Road.
A 65-year-old man was reportedly walking across the
southbound lanes of the highway when he was hit by a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven
by 25-year-old Andrew Jogesh Lal from Rocklin.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District officials.
