Six Injured in Car Accident on Stoddard Wells Road near 15 Freeway in Victorville


Victorville California (January 20, 2020) – Six people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Victorville.

The accident happened on Stoddard Wells Road, just east of the KOA Kampground near the I-15 freeway at about 3 p.m. January 18.

According to the CHP, a white Honda Civic that was traveling northbound and a southbound Mazda SUV were involved in the collision. The manner in which the collision occurred was not immediately established.

One person was trapped inside the Honda and had to be extricated by the Victorville City Fire Department personnel.

The authorities said two people in the SUV and four occupants of the Honda were injured in the accident.

One of the victims is reported to have suffered major injuries and was flown to the hospital for treatment.

The authorities closed both directions of Stoddard Wells Road between Highway 18 and the 15 Freeway for about two hours.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
