California (January 19, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident
that happened in Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 2 a.m. on Interstate 80 Freeway near Antelope CHP scales.
CHP officers received reports of a non-fatal three-car collision on the roadway.
A short time later, a 47-year-old Sacramento man involved in the initial collision was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox before being hit again by a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser.
The man was killed in the accident.
All the motorists involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
