Woman Killed, Man Injured in San Jose Car Accident on Highway 17 near 280 Freeway


San Jose, California (January 17, 2020) – One person was killed in a traffic collision involving a wrong-way driver near Campbell in San Jose.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 17 near Interstate 280 Freeway.

The authorities said a woman was driving a Honda the wrong-way when she collided with a Toyota Avalon driven by a man.

The unidentified woman was killed in the accident.

The man sustained unspecified injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No other information was provided.                              

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
