Joe Weiss Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Ninth Street and Ebony Avenue in Imperial Beach, San Diego


Imperial Beach, California (January 16, 2019) – 70-year-old Joe William Weiss has been identified as the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Imperial Beach, San Diego, last week Friday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:10 p.m. January 10, on Ninth Street at Ebony Avenue.

Mr. Joe William Weiss was reportedly crossing 9th Street when he was hit by a northbound car driven by an 84-year-old woman.

William Weiss was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.

The woman stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
