2 Officers, Mother and Child Injured in Car Accident at Somerset Boulevard and Texaco Street


Paramount, California (January 17, 2020) – A mother and a 4-year-old child were injured in a car crash involving a police patrol car in Paramount on Thursday morning.

The accident happened at about 7:25 a.m. January 16, near Somerset Boulevard and Texaco Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As per the report, two Lakewood station officers were traveling in an SUV when they collided head-on with a sedan that was carrying a family of four.

A woman and a child in the sedan were injured in the accident.

The two officers were hospitalized with minor injuries.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
