California (January 17, 2020) – One person was seriously injured in a car
accident that happened early Thursday morning in Arcata, Humboldt County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at
about 2 a.m. on Highway 101 at Samoa Boulevard.
A Ford SUV and a white Volkswagen are reported to have collided on the roadway
for unknown reasons.
The impact of the collision sent the SUV about 70 feet off the roadway
and into an open field.
As per the report, one person sustained major injuries in the accident
and was transported to a local hospital.
No further information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
