Pacifica, California (January 16, 2020) – One person was killed in a wrong-way car crash on Highway 1 in
Pacifica, San Mateo County, on Thursday morning.
According to the
California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 3:10 a.m. on Highway
1 near Manor Drive.
The authorities said a Dodge Charger was traveling northbound when it drifted into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Mercedes.
The male driver of the
Dodge was killed in the accident.
A female passenger in
the Dodge and the Mercedes driver were injured in the accident and were taken
to a local hospital for treatment.
No other information
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
