Girl Struck and Killed while Helping Juvenile on Business 80 at Watt Avenue in Sacramento


Sacramento, California (January 16, 2020) – A juvenile died following a pedestrian accident that happened on Wednesday night on Business 80 in Sacramento.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Business 80 at Watt Avenue at about 10 p.m.

The authorities said a girl was struck by a car as she helped another juvenile cross the street.

The unidentified juvenile had come from the nearby Children’s Receiving Home.

The girl, whose identity was not disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

An investigation to determine the cause of the pedestrian accident is ongoing.
