(January 16, 2020) – 31-year-old Everett
Burgess of Lemon Grove has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed
in an accident that occurred on Tuesday morning in La Mesa.
The deadly motorcycle accident was reported at about 7:30 a.m. January 14, on State Route 125.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Burgess was riding a 2013 Suzuki GW250 northbound when he was struck by a 2012 Dodge Challenger.
The motorcycle then rear-ended a 2014 Toyota Corolla, ejecting
Burgess suffered serious injuries in the accident and was rushed
to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was later pronounced dead.
No additional details about the accident were provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
