At least twenty-one people were killed in an airstrike in Syria’s rebel-held Idlib province on Wednesday.
The attack was carried out by Syrian government forces and with the support of Russian troops.
The Syrian Civil Defence said barrel bombs struck a vegetable market in the town of Ariha, killing 19 people, including a Civil Defence volunteer.
Another person was killed in the village of Has while a child succumbed to injuries she sustained in the attack.
The attacks happened even after a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Turkey, who support opposing sides in Syria’s conflict, came into effect on Sunday.
