Carlsbad, California (January 15, 2020) – 42-year-old Christian Zurita and 19-year-old
Matthew Ryan Adams have been identified as the two drivers who were killed in a
head-on collision in Carlsbad, San Diego, on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at about 12:20 a.m. January 14, on 5 Freeway near Las Flores Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Zurita, a resident of San
Diego, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck on the roadway when he collided
head-on with a 2008 Pontiac sedan driven by Adams of Utah.
Both Matthew Adams and
Christian Zurita were killed in the accident.
A 35-year-old San Diego
resident who was a passenger in the pickup truck was seriously injured in the
