4 Injured after DUI Car Accident on Gibbons Avenue near Main Street in Porterville, Rebecca Inman Arrested


Porterville, California (January 14, 2020) – Rebecca Inman, 27, and three others were hospitalized following a suspected DUI car accident that happened on Friday night, January 9, in Porterville.

As per a police report, the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. on Gibbons Avenue near Main Street.

Porterville police said Inman was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica westbound on Gibbons Avenue approaching she Main Street when she failed to yield to aa stop sign and crashed into a 2016 Mercedes Benz with two female occupants.

A 69-year-old female passenger in the Mercedes sustained serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to Bay Area hospital in a critical condition.

Rebecca Inman and two other people were to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions.

The authorities believe alcohol was the factor in the crash and Rebecca Inman might face multiple charges.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
