Deadly San Leandro Amtrak Train Accident near Davis and Alvarado Streets

Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Amtrak Train at Davis and Alvarado Streets in San Leandro


San Leandro, California (January 14, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train on Monday evening in San Leandro.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the tragic accident happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. on January 13, in the area of Davis and Alvarado streets.

A pedestrian was reportedly walking on the tracks when a northbound Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor train hit them.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the first responders.

The identity of the victim was not disclosed pending notification of the family.

No other information concerning the accident was provided.
